Royal Mail mix up again.
The Royal Mail allegedly said that there is to be changes to how the address are to be wrote on envelopes and delivery parcels.
A recent proposal that the British mail adopt the German method of addressing envelopes in which the house number is written after the name of the road, not before it (i.e. Downing Street 10, instead of 10 Downing Street).
This will cause an enormous burden this change would place upon postal employees, insisting that "Postal workers would be furious because it would turn upside-down the way we have learned to sort.".

Just to add to this Computers and web site enquiry forms that are programed to run in order of house no: then street would all have to be programed. This would cause thousands of hour of work for web designers and programers.
Parcel delivery companies that use Barcode machines would have to re program the barcode to read correctly.
This will run into millions of pounds to rest the machines that we use in our everyday life.
